Leviosa 2019, a Harry Potter/Young Adult Literature conference, is coming to Hollywood; where books meet films. The event, which runs from June 27-30, celebrates all things Harry Potter and YA Lit. It includes four days of programming with tracks covering academics, fandom, creativity, YA author panels, and writing.
Congoers will have a chance to meet Sean Biggerstaff (“Oliver Wood” in the Harry Potter films) at Leviosa along with a number of YA authors who will be talking about their latest books and their experiences on the path to being published. Those YA authors include Buzzfeed’s Farrah Penn (“Twelve Steps to Normal”), Tobie Easton (Mer Chronicles series), Britta Lundin (“Ship it!”), Alexa Donne (“Brightly Burning”),” Sarah Enni (“Tell Me Everything”), Maurene Goo (“Somewhere Only We Know), Bridget Morressey (“When the Light Went Out”), Aminah Mae Safi (“Tell Me How You Really Feel”), and Middle Grade authors Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka (“Always Never Yours”).
Also, just added are the authors of “The Pros of Cons” Alison Cherry, Lindsay Ribar, and Michelle Schusterman.
