Call for Programming

Have an idea for a programming at Leviosa 2019? Proposals are now being sought for presentations, papers, moderated panels, and workshops on any topic relating to the Harry Potter universe and/or the fan community.

Academic presentations – this is an opportunity for scholarly analysis and discussions related to the works of J.K. Rowling.  These presentations may cover any aspect of the wizarding world from literary themes to diversity in HP books and films to the fantastic beasts which are roaming the latest films.

Informal programming – have a play to stage?  Music to perform?  A film to show? Artwork or fanfic to share? Let us know.

Writer’s track programming – this is an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills during our special YA Author/Writer’s track.  We are accepting proposals for presentations and panel discussions to support those who love to write.

Submit your programming proposal using this form no later than February 3, 2019.   Proposals should include a quick summary (50-75 words) for the program and a longer abstract (200-500 words) explaining the content.

Help us help you…

Let us know how much time you need – 20 minutes, 50 minutes or other – as well as any AV requirements.  (Presenters should bring their own laptops if using visuals.)

If your idea is for a panel and you need to find other panelists please let us know and we can help connect you with presenters with similar proposals.

Is your programming for general audiences? If not, don’t worry! Special evening sessions will be available for adult content.
